A humanoid has to touch the world it moves through

Vision tells a robot where an object is. Touch tells it how to hold it, how hard, and whether it is slipping. As humanoids leave structured environments, tactile sensing stops being optional.

The constraint

Humanoid platforms are unforgiving about space and mass. Every gram at the wrist multiplies through the arm. Every millimetre of sensor height changes the joint envelope. Sensors designed for industrial arms rarely fit.

Built for the envelope

Our 6-axis sensors start at 80 g and 22 mm in height, with CAN and CAN-FD interfaces for direct integration into humanoid control systems. Flexible tactile sensors start at 15 × 13 mm and 10 g, small enough for fingertip mounting.
